St Andrews

Rev John Kinchin-Smith

I took early retirement in 2013 after 31 years in full-time parish ministry. My wife Caroline and I moved to Gorleston that year and it has been a joy for us both to be involved in the life and ministry of St Andrew’s Church. We have four grown-up children. I am a member of the diocesan spiritual directors’ network. While I love the Bible and would call myself an evangelical, Taizé, Franciscan spirituality, the religious life and the Renewal movement have also been formative influences in my Christian journey. I have a deep heart for the unity of God’s people, for Israel, for prayer and prayer ministry and a longing to see lives and communities transformed through faith in the saving love and power of God in Christ.
