Our Parish
With its tower standing as a beacon in the town, the medieval church of St. Andrew’s plays an important role in the community of Gorleston. The population of Gorleston is around 28,000, of whom 18,000 reside in the Parish of St. Andrew’s, spread across a wide range of socio-economic groups and housing styles. Gorleston has two parishes, the original St. Andrew’s and the post war built St. Mary Magdalene. In 1999 St. Andrew’s together with the Gorleston Baptist Church planted Cliff Park Community Church, in a school in the Cliff Park area, just five minutes away from the James Paget University Hospital. |
